About me

I’m Gabrielle, the voice behind Phren Thought Studio. When I told my parents I was going to major in creative writing, they did what any sensible parent would do: urge me to at least double-major in something that could actually get me a job. Now, after a decade of professional content experience, I’m glad I stuck with creative writing.

The internet has become a place where words are cheap, and often generated, resulting in a sea of meaninglessness where all brands sound the same. Yes. I can write with a sense of urgency to coax some algorithm. Because it’s not about prose, it’s about closing deals. But I’m more interested in what makes businesses actually thrive: human connection.

Careful storytelling is an essential tool for any brand. Expert thought leadership can help bring the clarity your business needs or help you build trust with the people who truly resonate with your offering.

And maybe there are a lot of people or generative tools that promise to build you just the right content for just the right audience. But I believe truly impactful thought leadership can’t be built from templates or pattern-predicting technologies. You and your business are unique, both in your essence and in your challenges. And so am I.

Writing something out is the least of your worries. The problem is finding what goes onto the page. Did you drift away from your value proposition? Do you have less proprietary data than you thought you would? I help you answer the hard questions so we can build something together that is true to you, your business, and the customers and collaborators that are still waiting for the chance to come on board.

That’s my story, but there are plenty of credentials to go with it:

  • Bilingual English/Spanish content strategist and writer based in Madrid

  • A decade of professional content and thought leadership experience across fintech and SaaS, including Ria Money Transfer, Dandelion Payments, and Sketch

  • Author of The Currency of Caring, a 72-page proprietary research study on the human side of remittances and the most ambitious thought leadership project in Ria's history

  • Content lead and on-camera interviewer for Good Teacher, a documentary produced in partnership with Save the Children, a documentary that won two Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards and a Silver Trophy at the New York Festivals TV & Film Awards
